A big thanks to all our new graduates who made it such a great learning and sharing session, as well as those previous graduates who came back for the free re-sit and helped out the new traders. After looking at the big move today, I must say all of you are very lucky, because you all mastered the skills just in time to capture this big move!

Of course, this is just the start, as now that you have learn the secrets of behavioral analysis and the trading skills, it is time to put it into practice! There are a lot more great opportunities coming up, because we have the daily forum discussion, and free monthly workshops for graduates to continue learning until they become consistently profitable.

I have read through all your feedback (both the good and bad), and shared it over here. I take this feedback very seriously, and will be working to improve the next intake by adding in more content and more examples (we will definitely see more live examples during the workshops). Of course, with this new improvements, we will be revising our course fees slightly (don’t worry it is still one of the most affordable professional courses out there).

Today, I was surprised to receive a whatsapp message from one of my students, with a picture of his Gold trade while on holiday. While I won’t usually advocate trading while on holiday, I was glad he followed my call to short which I posted in the Synapse private forum.

Normally, on a holiday you want to chill, and not think about your trades, so there are 2 key things to note for hands-free trading:

  1. Risk management
Once you place your SL and TP, you do not have to watch anymore, just wait for the trade to play out like this.
  2. Position-sizing
Trading a smaller position will allow you to “care less”, so that you will not worry at all. And as you can see, even a small position like this (0.1 lot of Gold) can yield large profits if you have the patience and the right timing.

This is a perfect example of hands-free trading, without the constant stress of  punting and gambling. This kind of trade accuracy and timing is only made possible by our application of market behavioral analysis – a new breakthrough in charting and price action where no indcators or special software is required.

Overall, this was a very good and clean trade, and it should be sufficient to cover the cost of his plane ticket. Great job, and don’t forget to bring me back a nice souvenir! :p

What an exciting Friday night this was! (I’m not refering to the NFP in case you’re wondering; I took most profits and trailed my stops as per normal before any major news.) After a sumptuous pre-party dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday, we headed down to Zouk for the August Man 7th Anniversary closed-door party. It was buzzing with excitement, and all the big names were there.

After saying our goodbyes and tipping the valet drivers, we headed off to leVel 33 craft brewery to chill and chat away the rest of the night. This night was certainly an interesting vortex of breath-taking and nostalgic memories, and I am glad I could spend more time with my good friends, since these fond memories are priceless.

Recently, now that I am moving on into semi-retirement, I started learning golf as a new hobby, as this was a new skill I had always wanted to learn. Although I only had a few lessons so far, I was amazed at how similar the mental game and psychology aspect is to trading.

Firstly, besides the skills and technique, both require a calm and focused state of mind to make decisions and perfect the execution. Next, with more practice, you have to “forget” what you have learnt, and trust your instincts to execute a perfect shot, once you have a vision of it in your mind’s eye.

Just like trading, it will take effort and discipline, but the rewards are definitely worth it because I would have learnt a new lifelong skill. This is the same reason why many people have chosen to learn the real skills of trading, and turn away from gambling/punting penny stocks, because they have been burnt before, and now want to learn trading the right way, to make consistent daily profits in forex or invest in stocks.

Although it will be harder for them to unlearn the bad habits, it is better late then never, because even if you keep doing something wrong for many years, it is not experience, it is just foolishness, because you would have wasted your time. That is why when I decided to learn golf, I decided to engage a professional coach, instead of trying to pick it up from books or trying to figure out the game on my own.

Overall, this was a great experience, and I am excited to embark on this journey to learn a new skill, while continuing to hone my trading skills and coach others who wish to trade the same way I do, imparting real trading skills and strategies for them to trade forex and invest in stocks. All the best, and have a great weekend!

Most people think that trading is like gambling and staring at the screen the whole day hoping for a quick punt or a sudden windfall from penny stocks. This cannot be further from the truth.

After speaking to many successful traders, we secretly confide to one another how boring trading really is, and we have to find ways to kill time, such as taking up hobbies or by teaching others.

The truth is that once you learn to read the charts and use simple setups, it is not hard to profit consistently from the markets, and once you make an entry, all you need to do is switch off your screen and wait for the trade to play out, and you can carry on working, travelling, or go to sleep.

Here are some ways you can trade while working, travelling, or sleeping:

  1. Using technology like your mobile phones, iPads, laptops, etc

  2. A simple and fast technique for analysis (perfect for busy people)

  3. Versatile strategies – Choice of forex trading or stocks investing

There is still a lot more to share, which I will be doing in my next free trading workshop next Thursday, including what trading strategies to use, and our recent blockbuster trades, such as Vard Holdings, and the new 35 Pips Daily Forex Challenge. If you are interested to trade part time or full time, this might just be what you have been looking for!
