This morning, I attended an exclusive media event organised by Resource Solutions, a breakfast discussion session about the latest trends in hiring practices, for financial-related jobs as well as other key sectors. This breakfast was held at Raffles Hotel, inside one of the private rooms, and special mention goes to the fantastic egg’s benedict.

Overall, the job market has improved slightly over the past year, but what is interesting is that a large part of this improvement comes from an increase in temp hires, as opposed to permanent hires. Such arrangements are more likely to find favour with employers rather than employees.

It was a great and memorable session, getting to meet some familiar faces in the media industry and catching up with them. I also got a lot of useful insights about the hiring process and procedures, which I am certain will be useful when it comes to hiring new traders.

Last Friday, during the NFP news release, we were trading this session together via our private forum. Gold dropped about $20 in less than 10 minutes, but we were already prepared with our positions beforehand, based on our reading our price and market behavior.

This trade turned out pretty well, and I believe many profited handsomely from it. Will Gold continue to drift lower? My guess it yes, and we will be waiting for a good setup to get in.

To find out more about how you can learn to read the market behavior for any market (stocks, forex, Gold), and get in before a major move, join us this Thursday for a free sharing session. This is also a chance for newbies who want to find out more about our private trading support group.

Due to limitations, it will only be open to the 1st 30 sign-ups. Click here to sign up.

Trading is not about staring at the screen the whole day. Nor is it gambling on quick punts hoping to get-rich quick. Rather, trading is an intellectual game – a game where one understands the charts and the markets, and makes an intelligent guess as to where prices are moving next. Of course, this is easier said than done, for it requires discipline, patience, risk management, psychology, and a good understanding of behavioral analysis.

Once a trader is familiar with these, all is left is to put it into practice, by confidently taking trades. This will allow you to create the trading lifestyle you desire, giving you the freedom to choose your timeframe, holding period, risk appetite, markets, and products. There are no shortcuts to trading, but the rewards are worth it.

Today, I shared this AUD/USD trade, using a leisurely 1-hour timeframe for my chart selection, and since no special software is needed, all you need is an iPad to key in your trades, which can be done anywhere. After observing the price behavior carefully, I felt that the time was ripe, so I went in to harvest my 82 pips from the market. As long as you bother to do your homework, the opportunities will also be there in the market.

Last night, after an exciting day of trading, I decided to take some time off to attend an exclusive media event by Glenrothes, held at the Nosh Restaurant and Bar at Rochestor. The theme was Vintage, and the main organisers were Glenrothes and Ted Baker, both Scottish brands with a long history and heritage. Most of the major media was there as well.

“Established by the burn of Rothes in Speyside in 1879, The Glenrothes distillery has been producing its characteristic Speyside single Malt for over 130 years. The maturity of The Glenrothes is determined not by age, but by Vintage, resulting in some memorable moments, captured forever in specific expressions of this remarkable spirit.”

Here are some trades taken by new students after they completed the Synapse Program, and they are almost already making back their course fee within the first week of trading! Keep up the good work!
